4. FLU

FLU movie

Two friends embark on a dangerous journey to seek the cure for a lethal airborne virus that has caused chaos in a South Korean city. This one is a pretty good disease/disaster film. It’s got an interesting combo of drama, horror, rom-com, and buddy movie. I like that the heroes end up being a couple of Emergency Response Team guys (like urban search & rescue/EMTs), a smart and sassy little girl, and a barefoot young migrant worker. Okay, there’s also the little girl’s mom, one of the main research M.D.s leading the battle against the flu. Strong characters and all-around good acting.

5. Train to Bhusan

Seok-woo and his daughter are on a train to Busan on the latter’s birthday to see his wife. However, the journey turns into a nightmare when they are trapped amidst a zombie outbreak in South Korea. HELL, THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES EVER MADE PERIOD. Incredible cinematography, an all-star cast that appeals to so many generations (18+) with phenomenal acting performances, a great script, and just a jugular of emotion this is something you can watch and there is something for most people need a cry BAM, need some scares BAM, need suspense HELLA BAM and so much more.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!

7. Love 911

Love 911: Directed by Gi-hoon Jeong. With Ma Dong-seok, Han Hyo-joo, Jyu-ni Hyun, … It feels like they tried to squash a K drama into a 2-hour movie. A doctor tries to woo a grieving, widowed firefighter in her attempt to get him to testify on her behalf in a medical malpractice case.

8. Peninsula

So Jung gets stabbed by Do Shik in the back alley and is found by Kyeong Mi, who ends up becoming Do Shik’s new prey.

I watched this around 12 am and I was so stressed and thrilled at the same time. Kudos to all cast.
